Friday Is When I Rise

by Noir   Apr 21, 2007

Cockerel hums its tune today
Rubbing the eyes that seen the pain
Holding my hands high-my ears hummin to the tune of my wrists.
Sigh..An eternity of "forty winks"

Cracking and squeaking an endless air;
Muscles cuddling my white-yellow bones
Attacking my porcelain, carnivorous teeth
Washing the black face of chimney (sweeps)

A day before having the fight
Gladiators of two teams--bullies and bullied
A definite calm came through my soul
The fight brought me--everlasting elation--

Rising at the day when orange defeating royal blue
The last day to my hardened education
Today I rise, like the sun god
Puffing my chest--like the red breasted robin.
