Fearless

by Jenni Marie   Apr 21, 2007

Days filled with fights
Nights filled with tears
Tragic things happening
Yet she feels no fear.

Her mother was shot dead
Her father took off into the unknown
Misery, betrayal and anger replacing
All the love she had shown.

Assassins following her everywhere
With her fists she's forced to fight
Good thing she's skilled in martial arts
Or her life would end tonight.

To her surprise she discovers
Her father and uncle are twins
Blaming the other for her mother's death
Which one committed this treacherous sin?

Spun so many lies
She doesn't know who to believe
Wishing she could just pack a bag
Take off, and leave.

Alas, that can't ever be
Because of the horrors she's seen
She's destined for a life of tragedy
She was born without the fear gene.

That was really good and very different for you. Very sad but very good. Good luck on the contest.

That was so sad... yet it held a remote feel of power as well..
It could be a film. Which contest was it?
