Into The Frozen Heavens

by Giovanni   Apr 21, 2007

"The sky is darkened by black clouds
The fertile land, made of crimson ice
The bereaved trees swaying back and forth
The icy wind blasting through frail walls
She sits atop an isolated barrier
Made by her own blood and depression
The only thing keeping her alive
Is the one thing that keeps her from her will to be free
Her arms are razored cut
The blood stains on her darkened dress
She sits on her knees, that are encased by fire
Her eyes are dialated
Blood vessels broken around her cheeks
Blood falls from the skies
As the angels start to cry
And as she regains her will to fight
A dark hand pushes her back down
The smile that was upon her fragile face
Has broken into a thousand tears and pieces
And now she sheds tears of blood
For her escape into the frozen heavens..."

The words are what caught my attention. Imagery was nice and sharp. At the middle-end there felt a little unraveling but not overly so. The end stopped on a strong note.
