Have you? why is? how can? what if?

Have you ever felt,
like you've loved somebody,
couldn't stand to be without them,
longed for them,
ached for them,
but they had no clue
that you felt that way,

You just couldn't tell them either,
maybe you had tried,
tried hinting,
tried of giving them some sort of clue,
not leading them totally on,
just dropping subtle hints,

And they still just didn't get it,
you felt like your head was gonna explode
from all this screaming,
screaming inside saying
"I love you don't you get it?"
wishing someone had heard the scream,
and would just fall in love with you,

Why is love like that,
why can't two both realize love,
why can't both see,
why does one have to ache with love
while another doesn't,
while another might not see it at all,

How can someone go on with life
knowing that they love someone
but can't tell them,
how can you love like that
when you can't even go on pretending
you don't love them either,

Well I'm not that kind of person anymore,
I must have broken the spell,
I can tell him I love him without fear,
even if the answer might be no,
I don't fear it anymore,
because he deserves to know I love him,

What if he had died yesterday,
not knowing that I loved him,
what if he had loved me too,
what if I had died,
and someone had really loved me,
but was always afraid to tell me?
