The Great Destroyer

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 21, 2007

Relentless in my quest,
I track you down through time,
Paying back the pain you've dealt,
Through the misery of your crime.

I live within your nightmares,
Sleep is my dear friend,
I'll drown you in your misery,
When life is at its end.

I am the great destroyer,
What you leave behind,
I am everything you fear the world,
Shall bring upon mankind.

I am the debt you're owing,
The thing you strive to kill,
I am the mother of your nature,
The victim of your thrill.

Storms becoming larger,
And lightning seeks to hit,
The destruction you perpetuate,
The sins you do commit.

Keep digging in my bosom,
And stealing my life's blood,
Keep heating up the atmosphere,
And begging for that flood.

Keep ripping down my children,
The air which you do breathe,
Trees somehow dispensable,
Until you're on your knees.

Nature is destructible,
And here's a little clue,
If you're going to kill this planet,
You're really killing you.
