Broken man

by amanda flood   Apr 21, 2007

He shot himself
cause he was sick of life
his wounds healed but his heart never did
he was a broken man full of pain

only one person to blame
the mother of his two son's
who destroyed this man deep inside
she took them away and left him astray

he lived for his boys and loved them forever in his soul
deep in his heart he couldn't let them go
she moved away took his children astray
brought them to a new land without there dad

he missed his boys and needed them by his side
he couldn't help himself any longer
he wanted to die inside
he began drinking his head was in a mess

he could see no way out
his heart was in two
in the end he was found dead
never to see his two sons he loved so much

grow up too make him proud and share a pint with him
and laugh about the good old times
know he found a peaceful place to lay his head

being able to see his children grow and watch them from
above thats all he craved in this world

this poem is dedicated to Paul Fox
may he r.i.p forever missed & never forgotten 18|04/07

This poem really touched my heart right from the start and then when the end i saw the footnote and realized that this all is true....i cant tell you how i felt. For so long i have been feeling that there are no poems in this site which is even dedicated to a father. Mostly fathers are blamed and mothers are missed. Myself being a father and the way i love my kid...i can relate to this one and would share a prayer with you too for Paul Fox.

May his soul rest in peace

all the best and take care
