Ignoring the worlds cry

Have you ever heard
A wealthy stay at home mum with a nanny
say
"I need a break from this hectic life"
I have
and it made me think
don't you know how lucky you are?
they complain that they haven't had moment to go to the gym or get their hair and nails done
when there are 1000's upon 1000's of women each day
who work 9hrs a day or more and only get paid 50cents
and they still have to go home and feed their children
so that they don't go hungry
and they do this everyday without a break
and they have no help
so yeah I agree with you, you do need a break
there is nothing sadder than to see someone turn their backs on their fellow man
to simply ignore the injustice, the poverty, the inhumanity
that occurs everyday in this world
you have to stand up and shout out to the world
that there is something very wrong
how can you live in a world were
you can buy guns like you can buy bread
were fashion and being skinny and pretty
is more important than having a degree
were it's okay to ignore everything around you
and buy yourself a $500 handbag
well I can't

    See this is why I love you so much. You see things that other people cant see. Your a hell of alot more smarter than the people in our year. People are so selfish these days, and they only look out for number one, themselves. Sometimes I wish we could trade places with these people, and then we could see what it truly is like. Crying out for help and having our cries ignored, feeling the real meaning of the word starving and going through the suffering they must face each and every day of their lives. Your brilliant Andrea and one day, your gonna change the world

    Wow, well done. This is a very powerful peice with an important message. Maybe if this got through to everyone and they saw the ignorance in society, the world would be a better place. We all need to appreciate and be content with what we have already.
