The Greater Good

The Greater Good

Hand our sons a gun,
To prolong all in end,
Through the gates of God,
To saftey that is send,

Behind the walls of Adam,
The men live as Kings,
Though Eve has been banished,
From the forbidden stings,

One man runs through the field,
Bullets flying past his ear,
Falling to his knees from lead,
As his allies disappear,

Hand the boy a weapon,
Hold it to his heart,
Wait 'til he hears the words,
That rip the world apart,

Armegedon in his hands,
With a fistful of steel,
As we weep in the cold,
Our skin starts to peel,

One last moment in the world,
As the media has control,
Exploiting every move we make,
And the emotions they have stole,

The blast clears the Earth of life,
An explosion of demise,
A world built on fire,
But the end was no surprise.

Hmm, this poem was really interesting, makes you think about all the good and bad in this world. War, weapons, those are some really terrible things. This poem is more on an enlightened poem, and it was good, I liked it. Nice job.

This stanza was my favourite because it really fits into the reality of the world in the present. The media are such a big influence on so many people and they have their ways to control the way that people can think and feel. Its sad that the world has come to this. Great write though!

    Take care
