The fight against cancer

by Seth Eckel   Apr 22, 2007

Have you ever felt that burning inside that feels like your soul is on fire?

I have.

Do you ever want to just watch the world end?

I do.

And wonder how it will happen?

I do.

To see the waters rise right in front of your eyes?

I have.

Have you imagined a comet falling from the sky?

I have.

Does it bring a sense of relief to imagine all these things?

It does.

To know that the world above your grave is so tranquil and sound?

I want to.

Knowing that the war has stopped and that everyone is six feet below ground.

I want to.

To know that every tree that now falls will never make a sound now that no one is around.

I hope to.

To know that the earth may finally heal the wounds that we have caused.

Poor mother.

She finally beat her cancer that has plagued her for centuries and that life has been paused . . .
