Im sorry

by Devon lansdown   Apr 22, 2007

I'm not a 6 foot model with bones sticking from my back
clothes hanging loosely off me calories right on track
yes i have a stomach and your right there is some fat
but my mummy always taught me there is nothing wrong with that

your models maybe perfect in your size zero eyes
but after all the pampering there drowning in there lies
beauty queens gone bad for there body they must cheat
your to blame for there suffering you told them not to eat

"a size zero's what we want here so shape up or ship out"
these girls as young as 16 losing 2 stone makes them doubt
but this is what the media has told them they should be
they sink into depression, don't know who they want to be

so sorry I'm not perfect but you can stick size zero dress
i eat what i feel into not your leaves and water cress
i have a bit of booty but its not doing any harm
I'm happy as i am so don't go raising the alarm

so ladies if your Reading stick to what you know is best
don't go thinking your abnormal because you've got a bit of breast
eatings only natural stopping is when it goes wrong
get curves back on the market or anorexia wont be long!..

I really admire you for writing this poem. I completely and utterly agree with you. As girls we shouldnt feel as if we have to conform to the ways of others. Being a size zero is just not natural, people look at models as beautiful and skinny but theres a story behind how they got there. Think of what they would of had to of sacrificed. In the end is it really worth it? We should be embracing our curves :] Loved this poem

    Take Care.
