A message on the Wind.

by Joseph Arellano   Apr 23, 2007

The stars sparkling under the moonlight I stare up at them. Your name hanging off my lips. My heart ablaze with the desire to be with you. Sitting here tonight alone, I look back to my previous existence. On a night like this one a boy once sat, so innocent and lonely. His eyes overflowing with love, hope in his heart and a soul aflame with passion. A star begins to fall from the heavens once more. His heart races to catch up, as your name escapes his lips, the wind carries his dream off into the twilight. A sadness creeps over the trees; the sounds of the night depart. Leaving only the beat of a heart yearning to be loved by you. He lives in a world of confusion that seems to never cease. He becomes a prisoner of his own grief. His loneliness being his cell. This is only a story I could tell. Tonight that same boy sits in the same spot. But a different night. The love that once yearned for is now whole. The empty heart what was once unsound is now flowing with vitality. I pray each night that this life wont end, I know in my heart and soul that i will love you till the end. Although we are apart once again. My heart is no longer empty my love is no longer in vain. I know you wont be gone forever but this time apart seems like an eternity. My endeavors to reach out to you in my dreams are met by your spirit. I know this night will end and another will begin, and as the days pass you will come home to find that same boy sitting under that same sky waiting for you to come at last.
