Asleep On My Pillow

by Fan Angeleo   Apr 23, 2007

She came from the biggest
of cities, fair and pretty.
No not Cinderella but her gown
was silk and dazzling to see.
All dress up just to see me,
when she walked in the room
must have shook I almost fainted
by her charming looks.

I had one more glance before
I went through the door.
Had to make a trip to town
a half a mile away, so wave my
goodbyes wanting to hurry back home.
Would she stay until I return, will she be there
when I get home this made my mind roam.
My trip went by so fast and to find her resting
peacefully on pillow was great joy to me.
