In Between

by Avrii Monrielle   Apr 23, 2007

In Between

Lost in the middle,
Intense waters seeping,
Betwixt in my head,
Interfering sound sleeping.

Pounding white knuckles,
Entire system drained,
Nights spent staying up,
Eyes red and strained.

Knees touch the ground,
Feet hit the floor,
Praying for miracles,
Freely given before.

Elbows are aching,
Tears drop like water,
Heart tricked, confused,
As a sheep led to slaughter.

Sweet sanity's breaking,
Upon the black ice,
Lost in between,
To not pay the price.
