My Grave

by Amanda   Apr 23, 2007

Pull me from the ground
Raise me towards the sky
Help me fill this grave
with the soil of past times

Bury all the hurt
deep within the ground
Our actions must be quick
We mustn't make a sound

Pat the moistened substance
Be sure to leave no sign
of our late night adventure
to this refreshed grave of mine

The hurt has been buried
I feel sorrow no more
No one will ever know
He is whom I adored

Alas...
happiness is achieved
No more worries
That's what's to be believed?

All was good and well
until it began to rain
We didn't dig 6 feet under
I'm beginning to feel the pain

It's elevating to the surface
Very soon it will be
overtaking my entire body
like waves pulling me to the sea

The pain will never leave
No matter how hard I try
It will continue to haunt
I'll continue to cry.
