Clouds Of Snow

by Raven Willow   Apr 23, 2007

The moonlight drifts though the window,
I sit on the window ledge.
The curtain flutters aside,
The wind rustles though the trees.

A dog barks in the midnight hour,
A car pass by in a life of it’s own.
Nothing can touch me where I am,
I cannot be see by the light of day.

I am alone is this strange world,
A person walks along the street.
I am never noticed as pale as I am,
No one ever sees me for who I am.

A face I put on during the day,
My inner person never seen.
I cannot face the people who I loved,
They do not want me anymore.

I have been pushed from their hearts,
Taken away to where I am alone.
I have fallen into the traps of life,
And no one will pull me out.

A cat runs under a car,
I jump and turn to go.
I look behind me to the window,
The moon is gone behind clouds of snow.
