Goodbye good friend
you are off to warm
missing you so bad
my heart so sore

i fear for your life
your so far away
not there to protect you
your there, so other Americans can stay

solute you with my pride
for you, i raise our flag

as much as you can do?
because we are all here
waiting to hear from you

i say a prayer for
every single night
prayer for you to have strength
not to loose faith in this fight

its been 6 months now
still not home
i have cried and cried
the tears have shown

i am so scared for you
so long since i have seen your face
or hug you tight with embrace

but because your such a good solider
i no nothing will go wrong
you will make it home soon
it wont be too long

but until then
i will sit and i will pray
waiting for you to come
waiting for that day...
