Her Captive

by Momentary Relapse   Apr 23, 2007

Her eyes follow you as you pace your cage
The emotions have died
It's time to do what's right
She's left you all for him
Kept you locked in your cage
She watches you destroy your mind
Time to face the lies created
Innocent days fade away
Disappearing behind your prison
Captured by your own design
She smiles knowing you can't escape
She'll leave you just for him
Everything you've done
It was all for her
But she never sees you as a man
She'll only view you as her pet
One she'll leave for him

I don't like the last three lines, they somehow don't fit in whole poem but rest of this piece is excellent. You are really talented, I like the way that you described emotions, very interesting topic too. It seems like you can tell many things with so little words. This poem really deserves 5/5
