The Innocence of Weight

by Chelsea Rae   Apr 23, 2007

Bright and plump with rosy cheeks
A brilliant giggle whenever she speaks
A girl with a future and a girl with pride
Her skin pale and deep blue eyed

Well rounded and filled out
She loved her curves without a doubt
People attracted to her beauty and splendor
All were care free of her not being slender

It was the inner self that shined
A trait too often hard to find

"Weight is just a number,
We need it to keep us on our feet,"

And she laughed and laughed,
And she sang and she sang,

Live righteous
Eat a treat
Do not judge
And I will eat
Eat a treat

For weight is just a number
Keeping us on our feet

    Great poem
it's true that in society today people are made to feel as if they are not good enough becasue of their weight it's good to see people who are comfortable with who they are
and are just happy being them great poem!
