Mirror (gay/lesbian poem)

by Naomi   Apr 23, 2007

I look into the mirror everyday,
Looking at myself,
I wonder,
Why I couldn't be someone else.

People look at me with a different views,
Treat me differently too.
Just because I'm gay,
Doesn't mean that I automatically like you!

Just listen,
Listen to what I have to say,
Just judge me of my character,
Not because I'm gay.

I'm still the same person inside and out,
Treat me like a human being,
And hold on to your doubt.

I face this mirror everyday,
It reflects my image and the words I say.
You may want my people to leave,
But we gays and lesbians are here to stay!

* Well this poem could of been stronger, but I was in a hurry. I came out 10 months ago and I feel Lot of relief! My friends however are cool with it but they treat me differently or make these retarded jokes about me liking them, some think its disgusting and still except me...weird I know...well thanks for reading...if you have an questions or just want to talk, naos32=AIM or
