Crimson Door

by omgitsmina   Apr 24, 2007

A Door of Wonder, old and antique
Vermillion in colour, and filled with mystique
This Door will hide you from all your fears
All of your uncertainties, all of your tears

Prognostic and foreboding, it looms up above
Intimidating all that lurks in the shadows, and thereof
Carved out of courage and bravery, and set in stone
When you are behind the Door you are never alone

You are kept in good company with all the others there too
All hiding in fear, all afraid of terrors of what they once knew
But once you have unlocked the Door and have stepped inside
There is no way for you to find your way back to the outside

You are forced to live in this fake little world with no risk
Never to know of your former life, the one that was brisk
But do not worry about lamenting about your former life
After awhile you will completely forget about that laborious strife

And those people whom you once were fond
Have gone on with their lives and moved beyond
What little significance you had in their lives
They keep on living; they are what thrives

All while you are stuck living in fear
Of all the former things you once held dear
Never to see the light of day
Never to leave, always to stay
