Years Of Silence

by Cindy   Apr 24, 2007

Nightmares and tormented sleep
Dark memories haunting a soul
Visions, voices, flashing back
Screams of stories yet untold

Regressed moments held within
Shameful guilt's quelled for years
Quietly crying from the hurt
Ashamed, scared to voice my fears

Trying hard to comprehend
Evils you released on me
Recalling all like yesterday
Still to young to really see

Silence is what you wanted
Obedience is what I gave
Threats you whispered in my ear
Hoping I'd take this to my grave

The time now it has come
The piper must be paid
Pain afflicted on heart and soul
Your sins on all you betrayed
