The Elven Princess.

by InterviewWithTheKat   Apr 24, 2007

The Elven Princess.

An elusive elven princess,
Skin shimmered in the light.
Her dress was that of woven leaves
Bound about her tight.

A crescent moon sat near her eye,
Since she had been born.
Sadness rested on her face,
A beauty most forlorn.

Her hair was silver, eyes of black,
Her touch was of a saint.
Her pace was light as angels steps,
Her song was soft and faint.

Beside the lake of memories passed,
That had such tales to tell.
She whispered to the mermaids and
Her voice as feathers fell.

Now none see her, lost is she,
In forest or near lake.
For now our curiosity
She shall not ever slake.

The elven girl is gone from here,
And why, oh none can tell
Her voice we'll never hear again
To cast that elven spell.
