The Meaning for A Black Rose

by Seronum   Apr 24, 2007

Its thorns are gone from age
Dying within its stage
Shedding every tear
Its petals fall freely clear
But its color like your heart
So black and cold in art
Its stem so brown and emtpy
Peeling from a dark memory
But so beautiful in itself
Is its tone of lifeless wealth
So delicate to touch
This rose without so much.
But destiny inside
the answers it which hides
The beauty of it all
The Black Rose
So beautiful at its fall.

I really liked the rhymes in this poem. I also liked how you related the black rose to a person's heart, that was really good imagery. Good job on this one man.

  • Short but it got the point across.
The flow was flawless and the emotion was deep.
    You are a talented writer.
    Keep it up 5/5
