The answer ?

by Devon lansdown   Apr 24, 2007

A simple treasured moment, a memory i miss
one lonely heartfelt meeting, a lost and lingered kiss
with a love so hard and heave, shedding painful tears
a girl confused and lonely, so wise beyond her years
intelligence cannot help her, her answer is not in a book
to her the questions impossible, in herself she must look

this questions not a riddle, no hidden tricks you'll find
to settle for the lover ?, or the friend so pure and kind ?
she has no sudden answer, she still has not a clue
a girl so sweet and innocent, mistaken lost and used
she's good at hiding feelings, she can lie and say she's fine
a smile plastered on her face, her usual twinkle and shine

inside the poor girls dieing,confused,Alone,distraught
put on a smile and face the world, is what she has been taught
so hard as rock she glides on, to the hurdles in her way
forgetting the ones that have knocked her, cracking her day by day
until she cannot bare it, her power no longer there
the skip in her walk is missing, and the joy she brings to the air

This one inches ahead of the rest for me... Theres just so much in it that i read and nod at because it tells your story so well (well, what i know of you anyway) and i've always thought it was hard to talk about yourself.
Nice on Devz :) xx *so wise beyond her years*

The skip in her walk is missing, and the joy she brings to the air. You are wise beyond your years. I see a poetess to be in you.
