Saftey

by my brother is jesus Ive denied your Rapture   Apr 24, 2007

Sitting in the shower
with the cold water running over me
my clothes cling to my body
yelling at the voices in my head

mom is outside the door
she is worried
she thought this wouldn't happen anymore
turning the knob trying to get in
but the lock won't budge

they're calling me
worthless, helpless
they laugh at me
and my unsuccessful attempts
of trying to get them out of my head

it starts to rain outside
the perfect time for a walk
come out of the bathroom dripping wet
not even talking to my mom

walking outside in the thunder
being stared at being judged
yelling at those damn voices
at the top of my lungs
pleading for silence

nothing but a swearer rat
they call me
mangy and covered with disease
i keep walking keep pleading

a cop pulls over
asks me if I'm alright
screaming at nothing
i blow him off
he can't help

sitting in a seat
with a towel over me
pleading to go back into the rain
but they don't hear me

there talking with my mom
she says i can't handle her
maybe she needs to go away for a while
someplace she can get some help

they take me to a room
with a bed and a chair
nothing with water
yelling at them
saying that i need a shower
it the only place that dulls the voices
the only place that i am safe
