Fallen Angel Part III

by debbylyn   Apr 24, 2007

The Mystic's soul so surely blessed
Bravely faced a final quest
Truely no man longs to fail
But Angels leave no Earthly trail

From ocean's brilliant sandy shore
He vowed to finally search no more
With angst his tortured heart did plea
A sad refrain, his agony:

"Fulfill my passion's burning will
Inside movement, outside still
Patiently my love I wait
As shadows fall from Heaven's gate"

With every breath, celestial sighs
In solitude of eventide
His quiet prayer, his final tears
Memories of his wasted years

His gamble made, now the cost
Without his angel all was lost
One last breath , one last prayer
He closed his eyes to find her there:

"In after-life my One resides
A promise made of paradise
Red chamber goest I with thee
A dance with death my destiny"

His broken heart, his dagger's home
No life if it's to be alone
Tears in blood upon the sand
The mystic took his Angel's hand

Oh i'm now sad that the trilogy is over. These were amazing. I don't even know what I could say that would even begin to sum up how I feel about these...I loved every one of them, the concept, the content, imagery wording and flow...You did an amazing job on all three poems. These are perfect and I wouldn't change a thing with any of them.

Very beautifully written, without (noticeable) errors of syntax. You managed to keep my interest till the end. 5/5
