My Friend and Me

by Emo   Apr 24, 2007

Her brother beats her,
Her father does weed,
Her mom chooses not to see,
So of course all this falls on me.

My step brother hits me,
He made me bleed,
I look in his eyes,
And I see greed.

Hurting is what it brings,
As we hide these things,
From everyone,
We are sure they are not done.

He threw her against a wall,
Hurt her bad made her fall,
She reaches for help out in the town,
No matter what everyone turns her down.

Down down the steps I fall,
Hurt so bad I gotta crawl,
I turn to the ones around,
But they only walked on and frowned.

The people walk by,
As we sit and cry,
Not one helps us,
We need not fuss.

He got high,
She got beat,
She hides her every bruise,
This should not amuse.

Into trouble he got,
With me he fought,
I hide my every cut,
Keeping my mouth tight shut.

We find each other,
We cling,
As though without we'd smother,
From me you didn't hear a thing.

Together they tear us apart,
Ripping straight through the heart,
We hide and sneak,
Of each other just a peek.
