Lines of Pain (revised)

by omgitsmina   Apr 24, 2007

Looking at my wrists you can see . . .
Each red line tells a deep, dark tale
A timeline of my life drawn by a razor
I know each cut, down to every detail

You may think of me unkindly
You may think that I'm insane
But I assure you that I'm sober
I enjoy this sensation of pain

Every time the blade licks my wrists
I feel an emotional form of release
Each new cut gets deeper and deeper
With every one I feel more at peace

You may think of me unkindly
You may think that I'm insane
But I assure you that I'm sober
I enjoy this sensation of pain

I know you won't understand
I expect you won't even try
But I don't really even care
Just as long as you dont ask why

You may think of me unkindly
You may think that I'm insane
But I assure you that I'm sober
I enjoy this sensation of pain

I've gone through the same thing
I think you handled this very maturely
I dont think you do it or did do it for attention
Like a lot of losers I know
I really enjoy reading your work
I am adding you to my favorites!

    I love this poem.
    But it's just out there.
    It's simple
Tells a story but it's not a story itself.
    Although
This part didn't flow as well as the rest
Strawberry gashes stain my pale skin
Each red line tells a story, a deep dark tale
Looking at my wrists, you can see into my soul
I know each cut, down to every detail
    It was a bit rocky.
    Otherwise 5/5?
