I Don't Love You Anymore

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Apr 25, 2007

I've fallen in love so many times
Each time only to get hurt
I've give my heart, my soul, my life
And get nothing in return.

But then I met you
You said you'd love me forever
And I stupidly, naively,
Believed you.

I once loved you
Until I found you with her
But now I feel nothing
I don't love you anymore.

I fought the anger
Fought away the tears
But the pain was excruciating
Unbearably hurtful.

And for a while I was willing
To forgive you and give you a chance
You said you'd never hurt me again
And I believed you.

I tried to love you again
But once more I found you with her
And now I feel nothing
I don't love you anymore.

I think some of the word choice could have been a bit better. You seemed to repeat yourself a lot.
The story you told was pretty nicely conveyed, however, so I'd give it a 4/5.
