Once in a red moon

by thing3   Apr 25, 2007

Sins run thick through my veins,
my personality lost in a sea of depression.
the pain, punishment and torture i go through,
is the only way ill learn my lesson.

as my past comes back to haunt me,
i go numb and then start shaking.
i have no dreams, only one constant nightmare,
of her sunken dead black eyes awaking.

two months tomorrow was when it happened,
when the moon burnt a thick scarlet red.
i was jealous, so i aimed and pulled the trigger,
and soon precious blood seeped out of her head.

her emerald eyes, her ivory skin,
her popularity, i hated it all.
my mind was blank, it was all a daze,
and with one single blow i ruined it all.

thats where her life ended and mine had begun,
shes 6 feet under and I'm in this cell.
you should never let your feelings takeover,
or you might end up like me in your own private hell.

OMG! I love it! definitely one of my favorite poems ever. That's a Edgar Allen Poe type poem. (check out one of mine; I like to write like that too.)
