Mother's Daughter

by skynerraw   Apr 25, 2007

Walking softly through the woods
My bright hair covered in these hoods
These many leaves falling by my side
My only cover in this place I hide

Stepping softly down the path
Lost in thought of your wrath
Pushing branches, whipping by
Looking up to the sky

The sun is fading
The path is shading
Soon it is dark
I haven't lost my mark

The shadows of these tree's so tall
Are looking over, ready to fall
The wolves howl
The screeching hoot of an owl

But I keep walking
Some think I'm stalking
The rain starts to pour
The wind starts to roar

All around me the forest is moving
To me, it is improving
And as I step through water
I know I'm my mother's daughter

*-Sky-*

The end is pretty weird, but my mom does everything like walking through the town and all that stuff.

Ok, I am trying to figure the connection out between the last line and the rest of the poem...I enjoyed it all, but at the very last line...I was baffeld. I gave you a 5/5 because if you drop the last two lines and end it with something similar to the rest it would be a great nature poem. If there maybe is something I am missing, please private message me and let me in on it, I would like to enjoy it with you. -Unattractive1
