Rescue attempt

by Christopher Lee   Apr 25, 2007

My guides won't leave me alone,
they have seen me hit the floor.
Afraid of i will harm myself,
having been burnt to the core.

First was a muse,
to arouse a different sense.
Her failure shocked them,
the thought was merely dispensed.

The next was a net,
its job to prevent the crumble.
I was ordered to get up,
lest i further tumble.

Do something, anything,
just don't consider that.
We don't want this,
you aren't meant to have that hat.

For now i will listen,
but with much skepticism.
I don't feel hope,
just potential oblivion.
