Why is it that this year went by so fast,
Like no other has in the past.
We became friends
And promised to be there ti the end.
We've had one year together
And I can honestly say it's been my best year ever.
You've been there so many times,
Just to listen to me cry.
You've made me laugh at times I never thought I could.
Having fun together, I always knew we would.
Getting to know each other inside and out,
I feel like I've known you forever, without a doubt.
Spending so many nights at each others homes
Both of our parents became like the others own.
You always know how to make me smile
And the thought of that moment lasts for a while.
Why is it that the year that's been so great,
Must come to an end and then you have to graduate.
Soon you won't be just 20 minutes down the road,
You'll be away from me...2 hours or so.
It'll be so hard when you leave,
But what'll keep me going are all the memories.
So many that we've made,
Nothing in this world for them I would trade.
Yes, we've had our ups and downs.
Sometimes our smiles turned into frowns.
But in the end you were still there,
You stuck around and still cared.
My life has been so different since I've known you.
The impact you've had on my life...you don't have a clue.
You know that I love you and I always will,
Until the end, I'll love you still.
Thank you for the great year that you've given to me
You've opened my eyes to things I now see.
Soon will be a new beginning,
A new life that you'll be living.
You'll leave behind everything you've ever known,
For the first time ever you'll be on your own.
Don't think for a minute that you won't be missed,
Me going with you would be my one wish.
Getting used to you not being around...
I know for a while I'll wear a frown.
I'm going to miss you more than you know.
It'll be so hard seeing you go.
But not for one second do I think this is the end,
Even though there will be distance you'll still be my best friend.

There's so much I could say..you have not clue.
I am so thankful for all I've been given,
It's been like a fantasy life that I've been living
Never before were my weekends filled with things to do,
Never...until I met you.
There's one of many moments that I'll always remember,
It's when we went out and rode four-wheelers together.
We had so much fun,
I think somewhere in there is when it all begun.
You said "this is the first time I've seen you happy in a long time,"
And I just knew, as long as I had you there, everything would be fine.
There are so many memories that we have shared.
And so many times we've proved that we care.
I know sometimes I annoyed you
Constantly asking "what's wrong" making sure you weren't blue.
Another memory would be at Christmas time,
You bought me a fish, crab, and snail because I was pet deprived.
So many nights all of us spent having tickle fights,
Laughing until there were tears in our eyes.
I realize now, had you not invited me to that football game,
My life wouldn't be the same.
You helped me out of a situation that was really tough.
You'd been there yourself, and saw I'd been through enough.
The memories go on and on,
They'll still be there when you're gone.
Memories together, your family becoming like mine.
I fell in love with your family in no time.
When you went away to see your brother leave for Iraq,
I missed you so much and waited up for you to get back.
You brought me back sticks and bears,
Bringing me my favorites, showing you care.
Playing cards and 20 Q,
Always having a good time with you.
Staying up many nights until two or three oclock,
Staying up and talking about our every thought.
Hours and hours spent on the phone,
Learning things about each other that we didn't know.
I always want to be your friend,
I want to be there 'til the end.
I won't forget you...never,
