Goodbye Is All We Have

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 26, 2007

Goodbye is all we have,
I must leave you now,
Kiss goodbye this subtle hate,
And break our vacant vow.

Your heart does not belong to me,
I know it never did,
Drowning in your misery,
It was I who truly hid.

I hid myself away from life,
Settled for your charms,
Let you disrespect my body,
I let you cause me harm.

But I rose up with the sun today,
So strong and full, so bright,
Packed up all that I could carry,
And stepped into the light.

Goodbye is all there is to say,
I'm be better off alone,
Before your bitter love does touch,
And turn my heart to stone.

    by Daisy if you do

Boy, this sure hit home. I know it happens to alot of people but, surely you could have written it about me. This was such a touching story of the awakening after the hurt. Yes, it does take time to defeat the heartache if we ever do, but stepping into the light to get out of the shadow of anothers harm is the only way to healing.

But I rose up with the sun today,
So strong and full and bright,
Packed up all that I could carry,
    And stepped into the light.

These are words to live by, if you are blessed enough to be able to rise then do so and let each day be a remembrance that yesterday was a learning experience. Wonderful Job 5/5
