Turn Away

by Internal Hatred   Apr 26, 2007

The hurt she feels can not be eased ,
But every night she prays that it will leave.
A blade in her hand and a gash in her arm,
Bathing in a sea of calm.
A slave to the blade and a slave to the world,
But her grasp on reality she can not hold.
She dreams of dying, she dreams of being set free,
She's filled with darkness, pain is all she can see.

So close your eyes and turn away,
As she struggles to live another day.

It sounds like this girl has to struggle with the tyranny and darkness that has consumed her life. And the only thing to keep her happy is the one thing that hurts her (the razor). But not everyone needs to live that way. Everyday is a struggle and sometimes people don't see what self-infliction is and the people that have that problem...
