No home, No heart

by Internal Hatred   Apr 26, 2007

The rain does pour and the wind does howl,
No lower have you ever fell.
Hugging yourself, rolled into a ball,
The endless nights have taken their toll.
Too afraid to close your eyes, overwhelmed with fear,
Petrified of every noise that you hear.
Your body violated, battered and bruised,
Too many times has it been used.
Covered in dirt from your head to your toe,
No warmth, no safety, no place to go.
Left with nothing but a life on the streets,
Begging for money off everyone you meet.
