Realm, Black

by The Queen of Spades   Apr 26, 2007

I've bled a thousand times before
Yet it has never stung like now
My blood, thick and dark
Pours like a crimson waterfall
From my dying body

The decaying inside my soul
Has a sickly stench
Like that of an exhumed corpse

It is black and sinister
In the place where I am
There is no semblance of sanity
No insinuation of light
No hope for the future

Murderous flies replace oxygen
The taste of death and disease
Linger on every tongue
And they lick at my skin
A frightening sensation
Crawling over my ashen skin
Pallor, unknown to nature

I've bled a thousand times before
But this is the other realm.

  • A few minor things you need to work on, and punctuation would really help your poetry. I liked this part the most.

No hope for the future, I don't know, it just stuck out... Keep up the good work, you had a very powerful, emotional message there, good work. 4/5
