I Miss You a Little

I miss you a little
But I should miss you a lot.
Hard to miss someone
You've almost forgot.

Every memory
Slowly fading away.
I don't try holding on
As they decide not to stay.

I used to fight harder
That's when I cried more
Sat by the phone all night
Sometimes by the door.

But when you didn't show
Time in and time out
And you lied to me so much
I put you in with my doubts.

I know you still love me
And I know you do care.
But words quit healing
The wounds you've left there.

So I healed them myself
By staying far away.
I didn't make any efforts
To pass by your way.

I missed you a little
I should have missed you a lot.
But it's hard to miss someone
You'd almost forgot.

Now I feel terrible
For treating you the same.
I knew how it felt
And now I'm to blame.

So here's an apology
From my heart to your own.
Though I know how it feels,
I won't leave you alone.

    Thats true love. Right there! *points*
    When you put yourself last for the one you love, despite the pain and hurt that they put you through.
    And i can understand it as well..

    i like this poem, i like ths above stanza alot. i like the way it's understood that he loves her but her hurts her. it's not like alot of things where the girl completely writes them off because they made a mistake...do u kno wat im tryin t say? hopefull so.
