The Lost Key

by Goran Rahim   Apr 27, 2007

Look,
How in search of a lost key
Like a bird,
I am flying into every street
Every corner of this city.

For that key,
I have fought the fate,
Facing all kind of anguish
Toward me.

Look,
But you don't know
You don't understand
What that key means
Because
You have never been in love
You cannot feel its beauty.

That key is
The key to the heart of
A person
Who locked her heart,
Because of
The pain of reality.

I am in search of that key
So I can
Takeaway the fear
From her heart.
I am in search of the key
That she lost
In a corner in this city.

Aww.. this poem is adorable.. a very enjoyable read.. i really like how you speak of the key and of flying into the corners of the city and then let it be clear in the last stanza as to why you do those things.. the word choice was nice the flow was off in places but overall an excellent poem :D

    Wonderful job.
You most certainly have a way with words. It was beautiful & the images were vivid in my mind. I loved the message that the poem told.... fabulous job. Keep writing! You're a very talented writer, as always & I look forward to reading more of your work. :]

Holy shiz! Good job on this. Powerful, and so...
I dunno. It sounds clean. I love how you taked about the way a person's heart can be locked. It's so very true, and...it hit me. Great job.
