Tree of dreams shadow weeping

by Naerwen   Apr 27, 2007

Do you hear the shadow weeping ?
Amongst the rotten tree roots of possibility,
Where all her dreams were deemed to grow,
To leave a darker world behind forever,
For once undisturbed her tree of dreams,
She sat in the heart of its silver leaves,
Unnoticed by the worlds inhabitants,
Her only friends the forest dwellers,
A glorious formation absent of thwart,
The tree was as beautiful as Gia's sun,
Glistening leaves that whispered her hopes,
Branches that stretched to touch her sky,
Mighty roots that lived through her soul,
The fruits that grew would hover below,
Each wavering strand of shimmering bark,
All a mystery to how it became,
The shadow girls home, her reverie of dream

A cloak of ashened darkness began a descend,
Upon the enchantment shadow girl led,
Slowly decaying her tree was dying,
The silver leaves no longer whispering,
But now screaming of her unfamiliar despair,
The branches no longer pointing to the stars,
Contorting and weeping as brittle they break,
The fruits no longer hover graciously,
But fall and shatter down to the floor,
The Mighty roots that grounded her spirit,
Now die being poisoned with ravenous hate,
Her temple of life swiftly evanescent,
Replaced by a toxin so silently slaying,
The ambient ether our little girls air,
Tears never cried began to leak,
From thirsty eyes her soul now weak,
No one to save the tree of dreams,
Only to stand and watch it bleed,
Slip slowly into a world of dust,
Shadow girl now finds the tears never stop,
Curled up in the waning pain,
Listening to the silver leaves aching,
Weeping for her unforeseen loss,
The day Grey sky opened up above,
And taken everything she ever loved.

Do you hear the shadow weeping ?
Among st the subtle screams of leaves,
A broken soul that can never mend,
For once a lone dreaming spirit,
Now forever a lonely weeping memory.
