Spring!

by sibyllene   Apr 27, 2007

Hope on the fingertips of branches!
Springing up in paisley-patterned green and gold,
held lovingly against the charming sky,
like a soft touch against a beloved's soft cheek.
Oh! here is the recurring assurance of the seasons-
that all things old and dead renew.
It is not a novel thought, but still,
profound
as a baby's first cry, or a girl's first
kiss,
or the first tentative ray of sun
to breach each day's wide
horizon.

Bah, I have to say it: I LOVE YOU! (You know...in a friendly sort of way!)

This poem speaks true beauty....in fact, if there were a beauty pump, it would be coming out of this poem and going into somthing that needed extra beauty.

Everything in this poem is so crisp - yo seem to be really good at creating crisp and to the point poetry.

There is nothing bad about this, the language is wonderful, the flow is nice...everything is great!

I see a couple of jarring spots (line 9/10 where kiss is seperate from everything else)....but I started thinking in terms of my own poetry, and I came to the conclusion that it was done for effect.

    BRAVOOOOO, I say! Bravooooo!
