Walking Away

Been holding on so long
Not able to rid you from my thoughts
Do you even realize
Just how much pain you brought?

Spending nights lying awake
Tears falling from my eyes
Once it was you whom comforted me
Yet you just left me there to die.

For so long I was wounded
Didn't know what to do
My heart and soul broken
You left me really blue.

Thought I was about to smother
Felt every horrible cliche
But now I'm feeling strong
And I'm finally walking away.
