Melody of the Meadow

by Cheshire Kat   Apr 27, 2007

Everyday I hear her come
(Melody of the Meadow)
And every time I turn around, I hear her song
(Melody of the Meadow)

(Melody of the Meadow)
I hear you all the time.
(Melody of the Meadow)
Why wont you sing? You dont look fine.

Cause Melody of the Meadow
Is crying everyday.
But Melody of the Meadow says no,
That nothing is wrong; that shes okay

So Im afraid to ask why she cries
(Melody of the Meadow)
And Im worried about the lies
Which Melody of the Meadow hides

Cause Melody of the Meadow
Says that shell go away.
And now I am thinking
That this is the time to say:

Melody, please take me too!
Dont leave me; I want to be with you!
Melody, I love you!
Melody, please dont leave me too!

And then she kisses my forehead
Melody of the Meadow
And she whispered in my ear:
I love you too, my dear darling fellow.

But she tells me to stay
And sing her the song
And when she comes back
Ill sing it well, no notes wrong!

Melody of the Meadow,
Ill wait for you to come back.
And dont forget, Melody of the Meadow
We both made a pact!
