I Loved Him

I tell him i love him
Place a kiss upon his cheek
His eyes shut calmly
This action makes me weak

Rain pours on us
as I sit there by his side
There are many souls standing
Yet only our souls collide

They watch as i stare
I stare down on his face
He grips my hand tightly
My heart begins to race

Ninety years he tells me
You`ve always been there for me
His voice starts to fade away
My heart stops in misery

His mouth slows in motion
A tear falls from his eye
I thought i would be stronger
But i also break down and cry

I open my mouth to say something in return
He gently places his hand on my mouth
I`m drowned by his everlasting love
This makes me shake throughout

He starts to breathe harder
The mud slips on his coffin
These are the type of things
You don`t see very often

I love you he continues
With all my heart and soul
But now i must go on
For i am too bleak and old

I wipe the tears from my face
Although the rain does it for me
I slide my body to wards his
I bring his face up closely

I love you too, i say
I love you with all my heart
As i say this, he shines a smile
And slowly drifts apart

My shaking hands reach for his warmth
But no longer seem to find his touch
I place yet another kiss upon his cheek
How i loved my husband ever so much.
