the key to poetry is
when you let your mind be free

unlock a world
unseen before
take a tour
run around and explore

see the sites the create gore
see the bodies laid out on the floor
see the sea in the sky
see the birds as they fly
see a land never found before
see the sand on the shore

a poets eyes see no bounds
a poets eye is not held just to the ground
a poet can see into the past
a poet can predict what happens last
then take it back an turn it into a blast

a poet doesnt always know
what will happen next
in their writtings they just reflect
the images in their mind
which do not cease with time
feelings they can not seem to unwind

a poet knows true art
weather falling from a cart
or starting some sparks in the dark
to open a light
a poet can show things like a fight
make it seem wrong or right

a poets mind is the source of all their sight
in this we take much delight.
