I'm so sorry i let you go

Let me tell you a story,
of a girl i no quite well,
of a Happy little child,
who gradually fell

mummy was an Alcoholic,
and daddy didn't care
and someone was stealing
her innocence,when they weren't there,

so she thought it was her fault,
and didn't really understand,
that she was too young,
to no were he was putting her hand.

thats when she got a razor,
and ran it across her skin,
at first she thought it helped,
she felt something within.

she started making friends,
who showed her things she never new,
thats when she started smoking,
drinking,then started sniffing glue

things got out of hand then,
the booze and glue turned into crack,
and before she even new it,
she couldn't just go back.

but thats when she meet this guy,
they fell completely in love
and he helped her through it,
and gave her a gently shove.

they were together for 15 months,
but then she let him go,
because she wanted to have fun,
well thats what she thought so.

this poem has point,
that young girl was me,
it was to tell that boy,
that i was blind and didn't see.

that my life was so much better,
when all i had was you,
and i miss and love him
now that we are through
