If I were a great poet And had been given a great gift... I'd write about much more than just Walking through snow drifts. Oh, I'm sure that if you like such things You must be very wise. But try just once to see it... As I do. Through my eyes. And I really just don't understand Such complicated thoughts. Your metaphors confuse me, They make me feel quite lost. Fore someone who simply cannot tell Her left hand from her right... It's a very great accomplishment Just to be able to recite. So if you'd please excuse me, We can meet another day... And read some more great poetry To send my thoughts astray. 4/28/07
