Drifting away on a midsummer's day
The world around glance with a frown
Quietly forsaken yet quite broken
Stoic expression hiding confessions
Each passing face judge with disgrace
All quiet sighs tipped with lies
Sneering they snide, leering they hide
After wards they fade, words left unsaid
Within my space an empty face
Inside a mind so unrefined
So out of place this broken face
Waiting here for something near
Gingerly considering eagerly yearning
Soulless smile of a cursed child
A beginning so long, an ending so wrong
Thought of you today, I sought to drift away
