Minutes, Hours, and Days

by Skyfire   Apr 28, 2007

Driving down this road
Looking at the sky so blue, reminds me...
I was driving down this road
when i was running from you.
Minutes, hours, and days
sometimes slow and sometimes fast
but I haven't forgotten
the time that has passed.

I didn't want to see your face
I didn't want to hear your voice
Your memory was hurting my heart
Running was my choice...

Locked away deep inside
is the love that belongs to you
Don't ask me to try once more
I don't think i'd know how to love again.
I've got splinters in my hands
from pushing against the door,
trying to keep you out of my heart
Don't want to remember anymore...

I didn't want to see your face
I didn't want to hear your voice
Your memory was hurting my heart
Running was my choice...

I've lost the key to let you in
You helped me throw it away
But sometimes in the night
I can't help but remember the minutes, hours, and days

Thinking about the moments we had
Thinking about the time that's passed
Remembering the sun gleaming up above
Remembering love...

I don't want to see your face
I don't want to hear your voice
Your memory still hurts my heart
Running is my choice....
