Hide-And-Seek

The game we played
was hide-and-seek
yet nothing ever stopped me
from taking a peak

i never hesitated
to cheat and look at you
while you chose to keep your eyes closed
i wish you had cheated with me too

i hate our little game
of hide-and-seek
it frustrates me
to the point of being weak

you always used to say
you didn't know or care
i never knew what it meant
until i realized your love was never there

our silly little game
of hide-and-seek
causes the start of tears
from these hurting eyes i let them leak

but you cannot see my tears
for your eyes are still closed
you think we're still playing our game
of hiding and seeking it's composed

open your eyes
and you'll see the pain
that over-rules this heart
it will always reign

our game has ended
and can't you see
that you weren't alone
you always had me

but now it's too late
you should have taken a peak
cause now it's over
